W&R-Gastvortrag: Neue Vortragsreihe European energy and resources security

Am 21. Mai wird Herr Kazi Sohag (Ekaterinburg, Russland) als Auftakt zum W&R-Gastvortrag in der Vortragsreihe European energy and resources security einen Vortrag zum Thema Russian-EU Hydrocarbon Trade: Short Run Benefits and Long Run Costs halten. Diese Vortragsreihe wird in Kooperation mit dem Kärntner Institut für Höhere Studien – KIHS (Prof. Wohlgemuth) durchgeführt.

Mental health programmes for young people in Eastern Europe

The European Mental Health Week took place from 13 to 19 May 2024 with the aim of raising awareness of mental health issues.

In her project FLOURISH, Heather Foran is working with partners to develop tools to provide affordable and scalable mental health programmes for the young people of Eastern Europe. The aim is to optimize, and evaluate the effectiveness, cost-effectiveness, and implementation at scale of Parenting for Lifelong Health (PLH) for teens.

6th Vienna Workshop on High Dimensional Time Series in Macroeconomics and Finance

Am 16. und 17. Mai 2024 fand am Institut für Höhere Studien Wien der von Prof. Martin Wagner mitveranstaltete 6th Vienna Workshop on High Dimensional Time Series in Macroeconomics and Finance statt.

Die Abteilung Makroökonomik und Quantitative Wirtschaftsforschung des Instituts für Volkswirtschaftslehre war mit drei Vorträgen vertreten:

S. Veldhuis und M. Wagner: „Integrated Modified OLS Estimation and Inference in Systems of I(2) Cointegrating Regressions“

Sport und Studium erfolgreich verbinden

Bis zum 10. Juni 2024 können sich Spitzensportler:innen für das Projekt „Spitzensport und Studium“ an der Universität Klagenfurt bewerben. Das Projekt ermöglicht Sportler:innen, parallel zu ihrer sportlichen Karriere ein Universitätsstudium zu absolvieren.
