In his talk, Piet Defraeye will scan the Canadian theatrical landscape and identify some of the major trends, and upcoming playwrights (and directors). From Robert Lepage over some of the major Québec playwrights, to established writers in English Canada, with a special focus on the growing corpus of indigenous playwrighting.
After lecture and discussion, Prof. Defraeye will be available to inform students about financial opportunities for postgraduate research and studies in Canada!
