With the spatial installation EU/OTHERS, Kamerić thematises one of the most momentous pairs of opposites in current sociopolitical geography with the means of conceptual art. The artist takes the signposts which divide people arriving at airports into two groups, and places them in a new environment. Her work leads far beyond the use of everyday symbols into political space.

Śejla Kamerić was born in Sarajevo in 1976 and has been living and working in Sarajevo and Berlin. She belongs to the generation of Sarajevo artists who grew up during the war under a three- and a half year siege and shelling of the city and who negotiate these experiences artistically. She is considered one of the most successful artists in her country.
