UNIVERSITÄT
Johanes ZECHNER | Ich sah die Brombeeren
The university as an exhibition venue particularly appeals to the artist. It is a place for thinking and research. It is also a place of knowledge, reflection and literature. His triptych is part of a group of works in which the artist tries “not to speak in one picture, but to express a thought in several pictures”. He also attributes his working method to his – supposed – inability to cope with large surfaces, which is why he “pieced pictures together”.
