University publications printed up to 2005 (year of publication) are located in the closed stacks and can be ordered online at surf@ubk and collected/borrowed at the loan desk.
Klagenfurt university publications are the final theses of its graduates. They contain Master’s and final theses, PhD theses and habilitation theses.
Bachelor’s theses are not registered and collected at the university.
University publications can be found in various forms – physical and/or digital – and they are generally accessible online for all users:
University publications printed up to 2005 (year of publication) are located in the closed stacks and can be ordered online at surf@ubk and collected/borrowed at the loan desk.
The printed form of more recent university publications (up until 2018) can be found in the study and meeting area (level 2); they can also be borrowed. Please note that in addition to a printed version, these titles are also accessible online.
Since 2018, university publications exist exclusively in digital form. Digitally accessible final theses can either be accessed or downloaded at surf@ubk as well as in the institutional repository netlibrary or they can be accessed at the kiosk PC on level 3 (this applies to publications which were submitted before october 2023 and online publication was refused).
ATTENTION: use of university publications only accessible at the kiosk PC is limited due to legal restrictions (limited printing/downloading).
Temporarily blocked theses are registered at surf@ubk but marked “blocked”. On expiry of blocking period, they can be accessed.
Please note: it may take a little while for university publications to be registered at surf@ubk. Processing and underlying technical workflows take several weeks.
