We have various offers for all tutors and mentors of the University of Klagenfurt:
workshops and training opportunities
a shared room to work and take breaks in on campus
our weekly open tutorial workshop
our reading corner in the library
Trainings
We offer regular training opportunities for all tutors and mentors. These include workshops on teaching and tutoring, advising students and on the personal development of tutors and mentors. Certificates of attendance are issued for participation in our training programmes.
Our course Online Tutoring & Mentoring can be completed online (self-study) at any time. As soon as you have completed all modules, you will receive a confirmation of participation for 2 training units.
In the winter semester 2024/25 we are happy to allocate places in the following workshops subject to availability:

TutMent Hub
You are a tutor or mentor looking for a place where you can work? The TutMent Hub (O.0.11) is the shared work and break room for all tutors and mentors of the University. You can use the room around the clock, for example to prepare your tutorials or to meet other tutors and mentors.
Workstations with screens, whiteboards, pinboards and other learning materials are freely available to you in the hub. Our training courses, networking meetings for tutors and mentors and other events also take place here on a regular basis.

Open Tutorial Workshop
You would like to get feedback on your tutorial planning or receive support in designing your next tutorial unit? You want to talk to other tutors about your work, discuss successes and difficulties? Then come along to our open tutorial workshop! A member of the Servicepoint will be on site to answer any questions you may have.
In December and January, the open tutorial workshop will take place on the following dates in the TutMent Hub (O.0.11):

Reading corner
The LV-Lounge in the library offers a cozy reading corner for tutors and mentors of Klagenfurt University with many specialised books on the topic of tutoring & mentoring – come by and browse through tips and tricks with lots of background knowledge.
