You can submit an application for examinations taken at the University of Klagenfurt or another university to be recognised. The Programme Director decides whether the results submitted can be recognised on your next programme of study and for which examination subject.
Examination recognition application form without the electronic examination book
If an electronic examination book is available for the programme of study in question, an Examination recognition application form should be submitted via this book. For programmes without an electronic examination book, a hard copy of the application should be submitted to the Admissions and Examinations Office.
Examination recognition application form in the electronic examination book
The introduction of electronic examination books enables students to submit the Examination recognition application form electronically. In the examination book, the letter A is displayed beside subjects with an examination recognised by the university. The electronic work flow function enables students to access the service at any time regardless of when the Admissions and Examinations Office is open.
The University of Klagenfurt distinguishes between internal examinations (sat at the University of Klagenfurt) and external examinations. In the case of external examinations, students must provide the Admissions and Examinations Office with their original certificates, as well as a copy of these certificates. If the examination certificates are provided with a digital official signature, they must be submitted to the Admissions and Examinations Office in electronic form.
Where can I find my recognised examinations in the examination book?
To access your recognised examinations, you have to select “Anerkennungen” from the “Aktionen” menu.
Here you can view completed examination recognition applications and make a new application.
How can I get my internal examinations recognised?
Under “Neuen Anerkennungsantrag erstellen (Submit a new examination recognition application)”, you will reach another page with the following option:
If you can choose from more than one programme of study, you can use the filter to narrow down your selection (see example).
Here you can select the examination that you would like to be recognised. Then select the item in the curriculum that you would like the examination to be recognised in lieu of.
Once you have completed your application, you can finish the process via “Aktionen anzeigen (Display actions)” – “Anerkennung beantragen (Apply for an examination to be recognised)”.
The application is then forwarded to the Admissions and Exams Office automatically. The process of assessing your recognition application then begins. After this process has been completed, the Admissions and Exams Office will contact you to let you know the response to your application is ready to collect.
