Major Business Analytics
In this Major, you will learn to master and apply tools for business analysis and decision support. You will consolidate your knowledge of decision theory as well as data analysis and programming and you will apply the skills you have acquired to a range of business management issues. Drawing on your expertise, you will be able to identify business decision-making problems and derive analytically sound recommendations for action. This gives you the ideal qualifications to prepare and implement evidence-based decisions in diverse functional areas of an enterprise organisation.
The Major Business Analytics specializes in integrated managerial and data analysis and features the following compulsory mini-tracks:

- Computing
- Managerial Applications
- In addition, 2 further mini-tracks from:
- Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
- Rationality and Agent-based Computational Economy
- Public Management in the Digital Age
- and the mini-tracks from the Major International Business and Economics
Major International Business & Economics
In this Major, you will learn to solve integrated business and economic problems. This Major is particularly well-suited for graduates of the Bachelor’s degree programme in International Business and Economics. A sound methodological education, especially the combination of empirical and data-analytical skills, equips you to solve a wide range of economic problems of practical relevance. The emphasis on quantitative analysis and problem-solving skills unlocks a variety of career paths for you.
The Major International Business and Economics specializes in integrated economic and management analysis and features the following compulsory mini-tracks:

Special admission procedure
In order to start the Master’s degree programme Management, Economics, and Data Science in Klagenfurt, you have to complete a special admission procedure in the form of the Graduate Record Examination. Prerequisites
Applicants must also meet the following conditions:
- Relevant Bachelor’s degree programme – undergraduate degree course of at least 180 ECTS credits
- Core knowledge in economics and/or business studies: at least 30 ECTS credits
- Mathematical and statistical knowledge: at least 15 ECTS credits
- Proof of English fluency at B2 level
Prospective students who apply for admission to this Master’s degree programme must provide evidence of English language proficiency at the required level at the time of application.

Other degree programmes completed at the Bachelor’s level entitle students to admission provided that they can demonstrate core business knowledge amounting to at least 30 ECTS credits and mathematical and statistical knowledge amounting to at least 15 ECTS credits. Applicants who do not have these qualifications may, in individual cases, be admitted after passing individually prescribed supplementary examinations.
