Format
The format for the workshop will comprise:
- Experts talks (20 minutes inc. questions)
- Live demonstration and Posters Session with a 2 min teaser for each poster
- Posters and the live demonstrations will be selected from call for extended abstracts, reviewed by the organizers. The best four posters will be invited to talk at the workshop, giving 10 min presentations. These talks will be appended at the sessions where they fit best.
- An interactive Q&A session to answer questions posed by students
- Interactive discussion groups assembled based on the interests gathered in Mural
Prospective participants are required to submit an extended abstract (maximum 2 pages in length), but videos are also welcome! All submissions will be gathered via Easychair and reviewed using a single-blind review process. Accepted contributions will be presented during the workshop as posters and selected papers in the form of presentations.
To enable participation of colleagues who might not be able to attend the workshop, we will use live video via MS Teams or another viable platform. Additionally, we will have a Mural board for interaction, commenting and questions exchange.
We will encourage students to pre-submit questions in the manner of ‘what I always wanted to know from an experienced scientist’ and our speakers and experienced participants will be encouraged to discuss these questions and answer them in an open discussion format.
In the last session, we will also organize discussion groups to discuss ‘how to fill the gap’ in the specific topic they discuss. The participants for each group will be determined based on the inputs on the Mural board where colleagues can announce their interest for a specific group/topic.
