Endowed professorship – Industry 4.0
The University of Klagenfurt and the University of Technology in Graz are the first two Austrian universities to establish the future topic of Industry 4.0 as a professorial chair, situated at the intersection of artificial intelligence, operations research and production management.
Renovation on campus: 453 endowed seats!
The success of the campaign “Let’s make AAU wealthier” is mirrored in the figures: 446 donors, 453 endowed seats and overall donations worth 59,491 Euro. What is more, the campaign website collected more than 400 anecdotes and pictures of the people in and around the university.
Endowed professorship – Sustainable Energy Management
By establishing the endowed professorial chair, the University of Klagenfurt aims to further expand its cutting-edge research in energy management, combining business management and environmental science expertise and thus emerging as innovative centre in energy management.
Interdisciplinary Bachelor‘s and Master’s programmes
The University of Klagenfurt is characterised by interdisciplinarity. With the help of start-up funding, the university has been able to further develop this special feature in its taught offerings and has established a range of bespoke interdisciplinary Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes.
Infrastructure: Endowed building at the University of Klagenfurt
Also known as the Services Building, the university’s endowed building was opened in 2009. It mainly houses service facilities for students, such as the ÖH Klagenfurt/Celovec (Austrian Student Union), the International Office or the university’s Job and Career Services.
