The mission of the Department of Informatics Systems (ISYS) is in performing research and teaching in the areas of

• Data- and Knowledge Engineering, focus of the Information and Communication Systems (ICS) research group
• Human-Machine-Interaction, focus of the Interactive Systems (IAS) research group
• Software Engineering and Evolution, focus of the Software Engineering (SERG) research group
  

The three research groups lead and participate in a number of national and international research projects, ranging from fundamental research to application-oriented research in cooperation with several industrial partners. ISYS publishes its research results in renowned refereed international journals and conference proceedings. A list of ISYS publications is available from our campus system.
