Addressing gender-based violence in academia using the 7P framework
– Gain a common understanding of concepts related to gender-based violence and its impact in academia.
– Demonstrate the existence of this phenomenon in research and academia
– Present the 7P model of UniSAFE (Prevalence, Prevention, Protection, Prosecution, Provision of services, Partnerships and Policies) which represents a holistic approach to address gender-based violence in higher education institutions and research organisations.
– Share inspiring practices for setting up and implementing institutional policies to address gender-based violence in academia adopted by European higher education institutions and research organisations along the 7 Ps.
– Enable practical application through a hands-on session where participants develop tailored strategies and action plans to effectively address gender-based violence within their own institution
