Your research proposal (DISS1) must be presented to the doctorate advisory committee responsible for your dissertation area by the end of the first year of study at the latest. To this end, please submit the electronic application for approval of the research proposal (DISS1) including an exposé via the student portal (section: My applications/applications for academic theses) by the relevant application deadline.
The 7 doctorate advisory committees that are currently in place are made up of subject specialists from all relevant dissertation areas. The decision as to whether a research proposal or dissertation agreement is approved or rejected is made by the Vice Rector of Studies on the basis of the opinion of the relevant doctorate advisory committee. When submitting your application, please note the registration deadlines and presentation dates set by the doctorate advisory committee responsible in your case.
