Cybersecurity Research Group
Profile
Cybersecurity is a vast area and touches both on offensive as well as defensive techniques. An overarching theme though is the concern of information leakage from systems that deploy cryptographic defenses.
The Cybersecurity Research group at AAU has been newly established by Prof. Elisabeth Oswald. The group’s main interest is in the fundamental principles that enable the creation and secure implementation of cryptography to secure systems. Current research centres around novel cryptographic primitives such as the Forkcipher construction as well as tools and techniques to mitigate against information leakage in embedded software implementations.
The group is based both within the Digital Age Research Center (D!ARC) and the Department of Applied Informatics.
Further information about the group is available also on www.cybersecurityresearch.at
