During your studies you can write both your bachelor’s and your master’s thesis at the Department of Management Control and Strategic Management. Bachelor’s thesis

You can write your bachelor’s thesis at the Department of Management Control and Strategic Management as part of the course Bachelorseminar in CSU. The thematic focus of the seminar changes every semester. This allows us to cover a broad range of topics from the specialization management accounting and strategic management. You can choose your topic from a list of topics presented by the course instructor at the preliminary meeting.

Master’s theses

You can write your master’s thesis at the Department of Management Control and Strategic Management during your master’s degree. The department’s suggestions include a wide variety of topics with different focuses.

You can find a list with the current topics (including information regarding your thesis supervisor) and instructions about the necessary steps to obtain your supervisor’s acceptance below.

Assigning thesis topics

If you are interested in one of the suggested topics, please follow the steps below:

Reserve a topic: Contact the supervisor by email and discuss and/or reserve the topic during their office hours.
Hand in a conceptual framework within 4 weeks after reserving the topic. The conceptual framework should at least include the following:
- Aim and problem statement of the thesis (focus)
- Detailed outline of the thesis
- Bibliography (at least 20 sources, especially international, peer-reviewed journal articles as per SCI/SCI Expanded/SSCI and VHB JourQUal A to D)
Discussion of the concept at a meeting with your supervisor and the acceptance of thesis supervision (the application for thesis supervision via AAU’s Campus System is necessary prior to the supervisor’s confirmation)
