“University meets Industry: Talents for Carinthia” is an event hosted by the Faculty of Technical Sciences (TEWI) and the Federation of Austrian Industries Carinthia. At the event, successful cooperation projects between university and industry will be presented. Students of technical degree programmes, employees of the Faculty, and Carinthian companies will have the opportunity to network in order to further strengthen their cooperation and lay the foundations for new partnerships. Anyone who believes that students of the technical sciences spend all their time in lecture halls and laboratories is taught otherwise at the University of Klagenfurt. Christian Bettstetter, Udo Schilcher and Melisa Midžan recently organised a trip to the Museum of Technology Vienna for the students in their course “Principles of Physics: Electricity and Magnetism“.

Information and Communications Engineering is the ideal combination of electrical engineering and computer science

Florian Huber completed an apprenticeship in electrical engineering and spent several years working as electronic engineer and calibration officer in the electronics industry. Today, he is a student in the Bachelor’s degree programme in Information and Communications Engineering, and additionally he works as teaching assistant and tutor.
