Production plants are highly complex systems. Identifying the optimal sequence of machines and production steps not only saves a lot of money, but also contributes to energy and resource efficiency. Using Infineon Technologies Austria AG as an example, researchers at Lakeside Labs GmbH and the University of Klagenfurt are developing new algorithms to improve the efficiency of factories.
Johannes Liegl studied Informatics at the University of Klagenfurt and is now working as a Senior Product Manager in San Francisco Bay Area, California. In the interview, he talks about how his experiences abroad have shaped him and his advise for today’s students.
For Stefan Lederer, the University of Klagenfurt is an alma mater in all its facets. Here, he generated knowledge and established many contacts and cooperation arrangements ready for the leap into self-employment, which he took jointly with Christopher Müller and Christian Timmerer.
