A new book, which is published just in time for the 3rd ISA Forum of Sociology 2016 in Vienna, comprehensively presents the current state-of-the-art of the Vienna School of Social Ecology. The conceptual repertoire of Social Ecology is exemplified by a cornucopia of empirical studies presenting exciting new research.
Slovenia, struggling with a crisis-ridden economy, takes centre stage in a new FWF-funded research project, in which researchers strive to figure out the strategies required for the optimal consolidation of public finances.
Gibt es ein harmonisches europäisches Kulturerbe, oder ist es nicht im Gegenteil so, dass die europäische Kultur durch ihre Konflikte und historischen Brüche gekennzeichnet ist? Ist es möglich, festgefahrene Fronten zu überwinden, um zu einer europäischen Imagination zu kommen, in der Differenzen und Widersprüche selbstverständlicher Teil des Gemeinsamen sind? ForscherInnen und Kulturschaffende in neun europäischen Ländern gehen dieser Frage in einem EU-Horizon-2020-Projekt nach. Anfang Mai treffen sie sich in Klagenfurt zu einer Auftaktveranstaltung.
