DOCTORAL DEGREE PROGRAMME
The university’s internationalisation efforts are reflected in its doctoral programmes: A wide portfolio of internal funding opportunities aims to encourage early career researchers to gather experience abroad and, at the same time, to foster their networking within the scientific community. Longer and short-term research stays abroad, the participation in events or in a one-year mentoring programme (Young Scientists Mentoring Programme) with internationally recognised scholars are financially supported. Moreover, Klagenfurt doctoral candidates can benefit from the broad network of partner universities. The University of Klagenfurt also offers the possibility of a binational doctorate in the framework of an individual cotutelle agreement or a strategic partnership (i. e. double degree in the field of Italian Studies in cooperation with the Università Ca’ Foscari).
