Nicole Lingenhel | In 10 years I would like to be in a successful digital marketing job

Nicole Lingenhel studied Business Administration at the University of Klagenfurt. In addition to music and animals, she is also interested in the field of digital marketing, where she plans to work in the future. We met her for an interview.

Please tell us a little about yourself: My name is Nicole Lingenhel, I am 24 years old and I come from the district of St. Veit an der Glan. I have recently completed my Bachelor’s degrees in Business Administration and in Media & Communication Studies at the University of Klagenfurt.

What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your free time?

In my free time, I like to spend time with my friends, and of course the beautiful Lake Wörthersee here in Klagenfurt is a great place to do that in the summer. Time permitting, I also like to play the guitar and piano or pursue my interests in photography and videography. Because of my passion for music, I can often be found at concerts. Besides that, animals also play an important role in my life.

How did you find out about the University of Klagenfurt?

I already knew during my school years that I wanted to study after completing my school-leaving exams. That is why I looked all over Austria for suitable universities while I was in my final year of secondary school. In the process, I attended education fairs and visited various educational institutions for on-site information during their open days, and the University of Klagenfurt was included on my itinerary. The decisive factors were, among others, recommendations from my circle of friends and the geographical proximity to the place where I live.

Why did you choose the programme you are studying?

Having enrolled at the university, I attended some lectures in Business Administration during the first year of my Bachelor’s degree in Media and Communication Studies. In the end, I decided to take up this Bachelor’s programme because of the courses in the field of Marketing, as I would also like to gain a foothold in this field professionally.

What were the special moments during your time as a student?

I particularly remember the personal interaction between the teachers and the students as well as the solidarity between the students, which made it easier to cope with long university days and the more challenging courses, and which led to new friendships. Of course, the parties organised by the ÖH Student Union were also a special experience during my time as a student. Also, receiving my graduation documents was certainly an important occasion.

Where would you like to be in 10 years?

In 10 years, I would like to be working in the field of digital marketing and implementing my ideas in a creative way.

How would you describe Klagenfurt as a place to live?

For me, Klagenfurt is a city surrounded by greenery, which is distinguished above all by the beautiful Wörthersee. In addition, the surrounding mountain landscape and the short distance to Italy and Slovenia are truly unique.
