Subject-specific internship abroad

The University of Klagenfurt awards grants to students from any degree programme who wish to organise their own work experience abroad, provided that it relates to their degree and that it is full-time.

Under ‘My applications’ > ‘Submit a new application’ > ‘Work experience outside the EU’

Upload the following documents:

CV with signature
Letter of Confirmation by the Study Programme Director that the internship is study relevant.

Programme terms

Grant: monthly subsidy and one-off travel subsidy

The value of the grant is set according to rates offered by the financial aid office and information submitted on how the trip will be financed.

Consideration will only be given to complete applications that are received by the application deadline.

After the work experience abroad

Every student who receives a grant must upload an evaluation questionnaire and a confirmation of stay/letter confirming the completion of the internship within a month of completing the internship abroad at the application in the student portal.

The grant will be paid after the end of the placement once the required documents have been provided.

Fulfilling all of the application criteria does not entitle a student to receive financial support. Funding is awarded on a competitive basis and according to the funds available.
