In recent years, proposals of ‘climate engineering’ (CE) have attracted attention as a possible third response. From the outset, such ideas of deliberate, large-scale interventions into the climate system did not only spark research activities but also scientific and public controversy. The presentation draws on my PhD research within the DFG-funded project CE-Scipol2 and will explore how civil society organizations react to CE proposals. Doch weder ist das Wofür immer klar und verständlich, noch lässt es sich in jedem Fall im Alltäglichen verorten. Dennoch bleibt das Unerklärliche nicht wirkungslos. Die in diesem Semester vorgestellten Filme realisieren solche Phänomene in je eigenen Zusammenhängen.
