Born as a local initiative, the Museum opened in 2006 the new exhibition path in the historical restored site of the largest knives factory of the surrounding area. As a part of the eco-museal network “Lis Aganis” (ecomuseum of the Western Dolomites) the museum is constantly working with partecipatory approach in order to involved the local community and the stakeholders. The ethnographic objects with the international networks of people and goods, the memory of the work and the new turn toward the tourism make the museum a zone of ‘friction and/or contact’ that constantly negotiate the heritage as a dynamic process involving the past, the present and the future of the community.Vortragende(r)Roberta Altin (Trieste)KontaktSchemmer Janine (janine.schemmer@aau.at)
