We explore theframework’s basic functionalities by creating a series of short (but cool!)animations, and learn about further references.Manim is a Python framework for visualizing mathematical concepts andideas in animated videos. Originally created by Grant “3Blue1Brown”Sanderson, whose Manim-produced YouTube videos get millions of clicksand are a driving force contributing to the popularization of Mathematics, his code base also has some peculiarities that are common for largeone-person projects, e.g., little to no documentation, and an unstable interface. Die Frontstellung gegen ein feindliches Virus istkein Naturereignis, das uns ereilt, sondern Resultat einer bestimmten Bearbeitungsweise.In unserem Beitrag zeigen wir, welche strukturellen Voreinstellungendazu geführt haben, dass Gesundheit im Zuge der Pandemieunter den Stichworten von Preparedness und Risikopolitik vor allem als nationalesSicherheitsproblem bearbeitet wird. Mit der kritischen Sozialepidemiologieverstehen wir Gesundheit als soziale Frage. Gegen eine isolierteSicht auf Krankheitserreger werden hier die sozialen Determinanten in denVordergrund gestellt, die entscheidende Bedingungen für die Anfälligkeitvon Körpern und Gemeinschaften liefern. His research is on political coalitions, political parties and ideology, with a focus on the United States. He is the author of Political Ideologies and Political Parties in America, and co-author of The Party Decides: Presidential Nominations Before and After Reform. He earned his Ph.D. at UCLA in 2006.This is an ONLINE-ONLY event.
